A warm welcome
The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.
Please do check our church calendar for details of our services, in case there is a change to our usual pattern.
Where and When
We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am (9.30am on the first Sunday of each month). We always start our service with a drink and chat. On the first Sunday we start with a breakfast roll too.
Car parking is available at Hooe Primary Academy (directly opposite the church). Cross the road (using the zebra crossing) and walk up the drive to the building at the top. When you arrive, you'll be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.
As we enjoy tea, coffee and juice before the service begins, have a chat or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.
Accessibility: There is wheelchair access for anyone who needs it and a disabled toilet on site. We are a Sight Loss Friendly Church.
Our Service
The main service begins at 10.30am (9.30am on the first Sunday) with a warm welcome. We are very informal. In a service we sing some hymns or songs, pray, read from the Bible and reflect on how it affects us. Sometimes we share experiences of where we have seen God at work as well as sharing news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church.

What about my kids?
We love to have children join us. We run activities for them during the service. Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service. We really value worshipping God all together as a family. During the service, someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their activities.
The activities vary depending on the age of the children but there is always a friendly welcome, a Bible story and craft. Often we sing, perform a drama and play games. Please pick your children up after the service finishes.
On the first Sunday of the month, when we start at 9.30am, we all stay together and explore a Bible story.
Getting Connected
Home Groups
While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our home groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have two groups that meet on Wednesday evenings. Check out Small Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with one of our home group leaders who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
Serving and Volunteering
If you want to get involved in the life of the church and our work with the community, you can volunteer to help in lots of ways.
Get in touch with us to plan your visit
If you would like to come and visit the church beforehand you are more than welcome! Get in touch and we can arrange a time that suits you.
