A warm welcome

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect whenever you pop into Hooe Baptist Church.

Please do check our church calendar for details of our services and activities, in case there is a change to our usual pattern.

Where and When

As a community of people, helping one another follow Jesus every day, we try not to be Sunday focused and so we have various ways to connect with church throughout the week.

Sundays

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am (9.30am on the first Sunday of each month). We always start our service with a drink and chat. On the first Sunday we start with a breakfast roll too.

Car parking is available at Hooe Primary Academy (directly opposite the church). Cross the road (using the zebra crossing) and walk up the drive to the building at the top. When you arrive, you'll be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

As we enjoy tea, coffee and juice before the service begins, have a chat or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access for anyone who needs it and a disabled toilet on site. We are a Sight Loss Friendly Church.

What about my kids?

We love to have children join us. We run activities for them during the service. Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service. We really value worshipping God all together as a family. During the service, someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their activities. To find out more click here

Wednesdays

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our home groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have two groups that meet on Wednesday evenings. Check out Small Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with one of our home group leaders who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

Fridays
'Drop In' happens every Friday morning 10am - 12noon in the church hall. You will be greeted by our friendly team who will offer you a hot drink with a slice of home-made cake for the amazing price of £1.

It's the perfect opportunity to make new friends from the church and the wider community. To find out more click here

Parking is available on Hooe Road or around the green at the bottom of hill.

The front door to the church hall opens onto the street, simply follow the signs!

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access for anyone who needs it and a disabled toilet on site.
